About the course
In aircraft maintenance the working language is English: the manuals, the task cards, the labels on the aircraft and the conversation across a shift are all in English, whatever your first language is. A wrong word can lead to the wrong action.
The course builds the vocabulary maintenance personnel actually use, from the parts of the aircraft and the tools of the trade to the regulatory documentation and the language of a safe shift handover, and checks it with a proficiency test.

Objectives
- Name the parts, zones, structure and systems of the aircraft the way the manuals do
- Recognise the tools, equipment and facilities of the maintenance organisation
- Read and use the regulatory and documentation language of Part-145 and Part-CAMO
- Use the correct maintenance verbs and describe a defect precisely
- Apply safety, PPE and human factors vocabulary correctly
- Communicate clearly: handover, phraseology, measurement and abbreviations
